The SecuriLed Brand is Created and development of the best possible Tactical
Flash-light have commenced. An early prototype mode named RC3 is produced and
tested by Swedish Police.
The Flash-light is basically good, but quality and performance is still not
Product research is increased and several prototypes goes through testing and
A new model, SecuriLed RC4 is developed under the strict performance
requirements from different Professional user Groups
The New Professional SecuriLed RC4 is hitting the Market Spring 2009.
RC4 tested to comply with CE and EMC regulations.
From the beginning the RC4 was designed to win a tender from the Swedish
National Police Board to become The Official Police Torch of Sweden.
The Tender was withdrawn Autumn 2009 without any designated winner.
The SecuriLed RC4-R did however comply to all required specifications except
that tested samples did not comply with minimum run-time of 120minutes when
using primary cells. (CR123A)
This was solved by creating the RC4-C model with a 700mA Driver setting instead
of 900mA and gave a official runtime of 151 minutes when using CR123A.
At time of writing, the Swedish Police Board has still not decided on which
Tactical Flash-light to use.
Several Performance tests under supervision from local Fire-brigades are
performed and the RC4 gains more and more interest by National Fire-brigades
(30m vertical drop test, Wacker vibration test, Road-roller drive-over and Gas
safety test performed and video documented on website and Youtube)
RCM s.a.r.l. becomes regional distributor for Luxembourg, Germany, France and
Batterigrossisten AB becomes Distributor for Sweden.
The RC4 is is tested by S.N.C.T (Société de National Controle Technique) and
later implemented as the official Flash-light used by their technicians
performing technical inspection of motorised vehicles. (www.snct.lu)
S.N.C.T is considered a valuable referral customer and also as the best "stress
testing institute" regarding operational reliability (torch turned on-off
several times with every Car inspected).
Main models are RC4-RII (900mA driver with Low Battery Warning mode) and RC4-CII
(700mA river with Low battery warning mode)
The RC4 is tested and implemented as the official Flash-light for Luxembourg Air
Rescue, LAR, (www.lar.lu)
Torch is to be used by Technical personnel and Pilots during National and
International Rescue Operations.
Improved lens coating increases light intensity by 10-15 Lm.
New LED-driver is developed with a 3-mode driver by request from the
Luxembourgian Customs Office.
As the flash-light is far too powerful when signing documents, they request a
way of dimming the High intensity light-beam.
This is solved by adding function to driver circuitry so every second pressure
on the power switch will dim down the light strength to 50LM.
Model name is RC4-RIII and have following modes: Full Power (200LM), 50LM and
Low Battery mode. Torch operates for 12 hours when continuously used in 50LM
SecuriLed has a official policy to avoid unnecessary driver modes as the torch
is a durable and reliable lighting device, not a playable toy.
Development of a RC4 Charger module starts. (model name CM42)
The idea is to have a module that can be attached between torch head and battery
This will extend the torch slightly, but allow direct charging without removing
Development of the new lighter F1 Helmet mount starts and should reach the
marked in November 2010
